After filling the fuel, our first stop was Sam Po Kong temple. The Temple of Sam Po Kong was one of relic. That is the former place of the stop over and the first landing of a China Admiral named Zheng He (Cheng Ho) or more usual was known as Sam Po Tay Djien. It was located in the Simongan area, west part of the Semarang City. Sam Poo Kong temple is also known as Stone Mansion temple ( Klenteng Gedong Batu) by the Semarang residents. The core building of this temple was a stone cave, which was believed as the place of early landed and the Admiral Cheng Ho's post as well as his subordinates when visiting Java Island in 1401, and now it's already buried under the ground of the main building basement. We still can see the cave by taking stairs down to the basement.
There, we're praying at the main building, and the other several buildings beside it, then we also took Chiam sie (a bunch of bamboo sticks to tell your fortune), took holy water home, and taking pictures in front of the buildings.
